2014 APCA Annual General Meeting


APCA held its 23rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney on 23 October 2014. The AGM was attended by many APCA members including the Reserve Bank of Australia, financial institutions, card schemes, and other payments service providers.

APCA was delighted to have the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia, Glenn Stevens, address members and special guests at the public proceedings prior to the AGM. The Governor spoke on current issues and important developments in payments systems. Members and guests also heard from APCA Chairman Rob Craig and CEO Chris Hamilton.

APCA Payments Symposium


On 28 May 2012, APCA held a special event to commemorate 20 years of improving Australian payments. The 20th Anniversary Symposium, a day dedicated to looking at the future of payments over the next 20 years, both globally and in Australia, was opened with a keynote speech from the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia, Glenn Stevens. The impressive lineup of speakers included local and international experts and consultants. The event was attended by a range of senior representatives from the banking industry, government regulators, consumer organisations and industry associations.
